Where's the time gone?
Well its that time again where we have to check that uniforms still fit and that the kids have everything ready to go back to school.
The summer holidays have passed so quickly. Apart from the odd day of nice weather its unfortunately been a very wet summer with very fed up kids. Thank you for DVD's and cartoon channels, plus the usual crafty things to try to keep them occupied.
Have managed some chill out time to read and do some sewing for myself but have also managed to get some work done in preparation for starting back at Uni. This is going to be a very busy and exciting year. This will be my 5th and final year completing this degree as I have undertaken it on a part time basis.
Will be strange feeling to graduate but will hopefully be a very exciting time. Once we start back in a few weeks I hope to have plenty of work and ideas to report on my blog so everyone can see the things that I am up to.

Contemporary Textiles Route B - Results
Was really pleased with my results for the table linen I made for this module. This also included research and development to make the piece along with sketchbook work and information about fundraising to help with the cost of the British Craft Trade Fair. My result was an A overall for the project, really really pleased :)

3rd year drawings - summer work
Have already made a start for my 3rd year modules by collexting research and getting a few drawings together to get ahead of myself.
Contemporary Textiles B
All work been handed in now and fingers crossed for the results. Did some extra embroidery work to go with the table linen piece with a placemat and coaster. I also did some photoshop work with layering my designs onto ceramics and bed linens to show how my designs could be used in a variety of ways.

Contemporary Textiles B
4 weeks to module hand in day. Main piece done for the BCTF so now working on place matt and coaster to go with the table linen. Couple bits and pieces in sketch book to do and some photoshop work to show my designs on ceramics and bedding. Should look good once it all comes together.
