Year 2 - Contemtorary Textiles Route B

This module of work was all about nastalgic holidays.  Looking back at old and some new photographs to create some interesting images.  Within this collection are drawn and painted images and also some handmade felt, needle bonded fabric and linen fabric which has been embroidered, embellished and smocked.  The linen work has had threads drawn and has been re-worked into to create different effects.

Hand in times

Dissertation and journals all handed in.  Comtemporary textiles module to be handed in on Monday, just to finish getting work mounted and will post some photo's very soon.

Dissertation work

Well my New Year celebrations can start now because I've just finished my dissertation and to be honest I'm rather pleased with myself for staying focused and getting it done in plenty time.

Been busy, busy, busy with uni work.  Nearly finished my final year essay and been busy getting samples made for the end of module in a few weeks time.  Essay not too bad once I got started with it, thankfully.  It did help to have made a start reading books over the school summer holidays and to have plenty of research before making a start with it.  Will get some pictures of the samples completed on here soon.

Another year at uni

Well its the start of another year at Bolton University. 

Busy, busy, busy with the motif designs for the 2nd year contemporary textiles module. I'll get some images online soon from drawn and made samples.

Also really busy with the 3rd year essay and research.  Somehow not enjoying this module in the same way as the hands on module.

Final Designs for Hallmark project

Our project for Hallmark cards is coming to a close.

Been busy with essay and kids but I've finally managed to get some new images done for you to have a look at.  Have line drawn some car parts, cricket figures and a stopwatch/watch. I'm going to have to start working on photoshop now to get some collections together ready for assessment.
